On September 16, 2025, the Sendai District Court sentenced him to one year in prison (with a three-year suspension of sentence) for violating the Act on Proper Execution of Budget related to Subsidies, etc. This constitutes a violation of Article 28, Paragraph 1, Items 2 and 3 of the Act.
