Methodology

How an English result is produced

The original Japanese publication is authoritative. RegBase provides English navigation, company identity context, and source-linked summaries so overseas teams can locate and review that source.

Company identity

Japanese registered name and Corporate Number are the primary identifiers. An English name is shown only when an official or verified source is recorded.

English labels

Machine-translated summaries are used for triage and are labelled separately from verified English names. A missing translation is shown as pending or unavailable.

Public records

Enforcement, procurement suspension, licence, Gazette, and other public-record matches are shown only when source and entity attribution satisfy the current public criteria.

Coverage limits

A missing result means RegBase has not included a matching record in covered sources. It does not prove that a risk or publication does not exist.

Human lookup

When automated matching is insufficient, a Japan-based researcher may search Japanese names, addresses, websites, and official publications under a separately agreed scope.

Not a conclusion

RegBase does not provide credit ratings, legal advice, sanctions decisions, safety certifications, or a full due-diligence conclusion. Verify material records against the linked official source.
