The suspension covers construction activities related to public works within Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, from October 25 to December 23, 2022. The violation involved former executives of the company, who conspired with a former subordinate of the local construction department to disclose confidential bid information for the J-Village Station Front Traffic Square Toilet Construction Project in Naraha Town, Fukushima Prefecture, on July 8, 2021. They used fraudulent means to undermine the fairness of the public bidding process, which constitutes a violation of Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Construction Business Act. The former company president received a 10-month prison sentence (with a 3-year probation) on July 12, 2022, which was finalized on July 27, 2022. The former head of the Futaba branch office received a similar sentence on June 15, 2022, finalized on June 30, 2022. These actions are recognized as violations under the Construction Business Act. The suspension order applies to construction activities in the specified prefectures, including civil engineering, building, and other related construction types.
