鉄道の安全・安定輸送の確保については、機会あるごとに注意喚起してきたところであるが、令和8年1月16日には、停電により山手線などで長時間にわたる運転見合せが発生し、当局より警告書を発出したところである。また、令和8年1月30日には、上野駅構内において架線の断線により常磐線などで長時間にわたる運転見合せが発生し、鉄道局から原因究明及び再発防止策の検討について、口頭で指示している。 こうした状況下、令和8年2月2日には、京葉線八丁堀駅にて、エスカレーターから発煙し、一時、運転見合わせが発生したことで多くの利用者に影響が出たことは大変残念である。 ついては、八丁堀駅での発煙事案に関して、背後要因を含めて原因の究明を行い、再発防止のための措置を講じ、鉄道の安全・安定輸送の確保に万全を期すよう警告する。 なお、講じた措置等については、文書により速やかに報告されたい。【関東運輸局】
