令和6年1月20日、鳥羽市の旅客船「かがやき」は、旅客8名を乗せて和具港へ向け航行中、菅島沖の海苔網に乗り揚げた。旅客の負傷なし。 同年2月1日、中部運輸局の運航労務監理官が海上運送法に基づく監査を実施した。 同年3月27日、中部運輸局は同者に対し、「運航基準第7条に基づき、船長は、気象・海象等の状況により、運航基準に定める基準経路以外の経路を航行しようとするときは、事前に運航管理者と協議し、運航管理者は協議又は連絡を受けたときは、当該経路の安全性について十分検討し、必要な助言又は援助を与えること。船長及び運航管理者は、同基準第11条に基づき、その内容を運航管理日誌、航海日誌等に記録すること。」を含む指導を行った。
