The former representative director of Noya Sports Construction Co., Ltd. received confidential information regarding the estimated prices of the 'Shimoshioi Danchi West Park Playground Equipment Construction Work (Shashiko No. 3)' conducted by Maebashi City on November 5, 2020, from a former city employee. He used this information to have the company bid at a price close to the estimated price, thereby impairing the fairness of the public bidding process and causing the contract to be awarded through deception. Similarly, regarding the 'Ishizeki Park Playground Equipment Construction Work (Shashiko No. 4)' conducted by Maebashi City on December 1, 2020, he received the same confidential bid price information from the former employee and used it to influence the bid outcome in the same manner. Furthermore, around December 10, 2020, he provided 100 beer coupons as a reward to the former employee for disclosing the confidential bid prices related to these two projects and the 'Sakura Park Sports Facility Installation Work (No. 37)' in exchange for the information, constituting a bribe. Consequently, he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment with a 3-year probation by Maebashi District Court on September 16, 2021, with the sentence finalized on October 1, 2021. These actions violate Article 28, Paragraph 1, Items 2 and 3 of the Construction Business Act, and a business suspension order is issued based on Paragraph 3 of the same article.
