On February 12-13, 2025, a safety audit was conducted on Arai & Associates Co., Ltd. (Corporate Number 6010001009117) based in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The audit revealed the following issues: 1. The number of carriers on the Alpenblick No. 1 double chairlift had decreased without a notification of facility modification, requiring procedures under Article 12 of the Railway Business Act, which is applied by reference from Article 38, to prevent recurrence. 2. The safety equipment installation at the summit station of the Ike no Taira Quad Lift differed from the approved construction drawings, and the installation position was inconsistent with the passenger attendant placement. The company was instructed to review and adjust the installation and staffing arrangements to ensure proper functionality, and to undertake procedures under the Railway Business Act, Article 12, if modifications are made. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Hokuriku-Shinetsu Transport Bureau issued these directives. The company was asked to report corrective actions by April 17, 2025.
