On September 18, 2020, Hoshino Sogo Shoji Co., Ltd. conducted fire detector circuit wiring repairs at Hashimoto Alloy Co., Ltd. in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. 星野総合商事株式会社は、令和２年９月１８日に、群馬県前橋市内の橋本合金株式会社で施工された火災感知器回路配線補修工事にて、労働者に火災感知器の交換作業を行わせるにあたり、作業箇所の高さが4.179ｍ以上となる状況で、作業床を設けることが困難でないのにこれを設けず、墜落するおそれのある場所に係る危険防止措置を講じなかった。この結果、労働者が墜落する事故が発生した。 このことにより、星野総合商事株式会社及び同社保全部施工課課長の小渕紀幸は、前橋労働基準監督署から労働安全衛生法第21条第２項及び労働安全衛生規則第518条第１項違反により送検され、前橋簡易裁判所において罰金２０万円の略式命令を受け、法人は令和４年４月２９日に、小渕氏は同年５月３日にその刑が確定した このことは、建設業法第２８条第１項第３号に該当するものであり、同条同項に基づき指示処分とするもの。
