株式会社イタバシと同社の現場責任者は、令和６年７月８日、高知県高岡郡越知町における国（四国地方整備局土佐国道事務所）発注工事の現場において、作業員１人が高さ約12メートルの場所から墜落し負傷した事故に関し、墜落による危険を防止するための必要な措置を講じていなかったとして、令和８年４月17日、同社が労働安全衛生法違反の罪で、同社の現場責任者が同法違反及び業務上過失傷害の罪で、須崎簡易裁判所から罰金の略式命令を受け、その刑が確定している。 このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号に該当する。
