① The former officer of the company conspired with representatives of two other companies regarding the restricted open competitive bidding for agricultural civil engineering work for the 'Management Body Toyo Cooperative District 1, Area 61' conducted by the Iburi General Promotion Bureau on April 25, 2018. They planned to have the joint construction consortium, of which the company was a member, win the contract by colluding with the other two companies to submit bids exceeding the planned bid amount, thereby damaging fair pricing. They agreed to this collusion, which resulted in a conviction for bid-rigging at the Asahikawa District Court on March 11, 2021, with a sentence of one year imprisonment suspended for three years, finalized on March 26, 2021. ② The former employee of the company conspired with a bureau staff member (at the time) to receive bidding price information via email within the company, facilitating the company's winning of the same contract and undermining the fairness of public bidding. Furthermore, as a gratuity for the staff member’s illegal conduct, the employee paid 150,000 yen for exterior construction work at the staff member’s relative’s residence, valued at approximately 1.08 million yen, as a bribe. On June 1, 2021, the former employee was sentenced at the Sapporo District Court to 1 year and 6 months in prison for obstructing public contract procedures and bribery, with a three-year suspension, and the sentence was finalized on June 16, 2021.
