| Law / type | Construction Business Act / Business Suspension |
| Summary | The former CEO of Koshin Tech, Tatsuya Ikeda, engaged in fraudulent activities including recording fictitious outsourcing processing costs and fictitious taxable purchases to conceal income. These actions led to false corporate tax and local corporate tax filings during the three fiscal years from November 1, 2015, to October 31, 2018. As a result, the company avoided paying corporate and consumption taxes. On January 12, 2023, the Nagasaki District Court sentenced the former CEO to 1 year and 6 months imprisonment (with a 3-year probation), and the company was fined 25 million yen. These penalties have been finalized. The Kyushu Regional Development Bureau issued a business suspension order for all construction-related activities nationwide for 7 days from June 8 to June 14, 2023, recognizing these violations under Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act. |
