On March 3, 2021, at the site of road maintenance work ordered by Ogaki City (Contract No. 591 of the 2020 fiscal year) in Kasoncho, Ogaki City, workers from Kimura Kenzai Co., Ltd. were injured when a worker's right foot was stepped on by a drag shovel operated by a fellow employee. The injury included a dislocation and fracture of the right Lisfranc joint, requiring more than two months of leave. On March 16, 2021, the company and its representative director falsely reported to the Ogaki Labor Standards Inspection Office that the incident was different from the actual disaster. On January 7, 2022, the Ogaki Summary Court issued a summary order for violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, imposing a fine of 200,000 yen on the company and 200,000 yen on the representative director, which was finalized. This is recognized as corresponding to Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act.
