The representative director of Taiju Corporation was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment with a 3-year suspension on January 14, 2022, at Kanazawa District Court for a violation of Article 246 of the Penal Code (Law No. 45 of 1907), and the sentence was finalized on January 29, 2022. This constitutes a violation of Article 29, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Construction Business Act.

The construction business operator in Osaka city subcontracted the construction work to Fujimoto Komuten Co., Ltd., but violated Article 24-8, Paragraph 2 of the Construction Business Act by not notifying the designated construction business operator who directly contracted the work from the client of the re-subcontracting.

The construction business operator violated Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Construction Business Act by undertaking private construction work in Osaka City without the required permit, with the contract amount exceeding the amount specified in Enforcement Order of the Construction Business Act, Article 1-2. Additionally, in this project, the operator violated Article 22, Paragraph 1 of the same Act by having the contracted construction work undertaken collectively by Fujimoto Komuten Co., Ltd.

The revision of the Construction Business Act (Act No. 55 of 2014) included the establishment of a new demolition business. The transitional measure that treated technicians of the demolition and earthwork contractors before the enforcement of this law as demolition contractors' technicians was limited to until June 30, 2021. Since that date has passed, the entity no longer satisfies the standards listed in Article 7, Item 2 of the Construction Business Act.
