From October 22 to October 23, 2025, a safety audit was conducted on Toyama City. As a result, issues requiring improvement were identified. The city is instructed to take corrective actions, including establishing a system to accurately grasp on-site conditions, regularly verify operational status, organize issues, and ensure the feasibility of improvements, with a focus on strengthening safety management. Specifically, during fiscal years 2024 and 2025, the track gauge within the Toyama Station south-north connection line and station premises exceeded the standards specified in Article 4 of the Track Maintenance Guidelines, and maintenance had not been carried out. The city must promptly carry out maintenance based on Article 4 of the guidelines and establish a system for proper track management. The report on measures taken should be submitted by March 17, 2026. This guidance is issued by the Hokuriku-Shinetsu Transport Bureau.
