On June 16, 2023, Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. and the person responsible for supervising the work at an electrical construction site in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, directly commanded workers and oversaw their safety management during the replacement of high-voltage lines on a 6600V distribution pole. Despite the circuit being open and energized at 6600V, they did not implement necessary safety measures to prevent electrical hazards. This constitutes a violation of Article 20, Item 3 of the Act on Securing, etc., of Equal Opportunity and Treatment between Men and Women in Employment (Law No. 57 of 1972) and Article 339, Item 3 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations (Ministry of Labour Ordinance No. 32 of 1972). As a result, on December 18, 2024, Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. and the work supervisor were subject to fines. This incident also falls under Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act.
