Yamaguchi Construction Co., Ltd. was involved in a construction project on May 14, 2019, in Nagasaki Prefecture. During work involving unloading scaffold components from a mobile crane at their material storage site, an injured worker sustained a distal radius fracture requiring over four days of leave, with an estimated recovery period of about two months. The company failed to submit the required worker injury report to the Nagasaki Labor Standards Inspection Office promptly, instead submitting it approximately 25 months later on June 22, 2021. As a result, the company and its CEO received summary orders imposing a fine of 200,000 yen each for violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, with the penalties confirmed on January 5, 2022. This constitutes a violation of Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act, and is subject to supervisory measures.
