令和6年12月5日、小豆島フェリー株式会社の旅客船「第二しようどしま丸」において、高松港出港後まもなく、作業中の船員が海中に転落する事故が発生した。当該船員に負傷なし。 同月12日、四国運輸局の運航労務監理官が海上運送法に基づく監査を実施したところ、当該船員に必要な保護具を着用させていなかったこと等、関係法令及び安全管理規程に違反する事実を確認した。 令和7年1月16日、四国運輸局は同者に対し、「安全統括管理者は、安全管理規程第17条に基づき、船員法をはじめとする関係法令の遵守と安全最優先の原則を徹底するとともに、安全管理規程の遵守を確実にすること。」を含む警告を行った。
