On or around October 11, 2020, officers of Zhonghe Construction Industry Co., Ltd. dumped approximately 67.674 kilograms of waste, including waste sleeves, in the sea area near the oil port Yuu West A breakwater lighthouse, located in Sufu Oshima Town, Oshima District, Yamaguchi Prefecture, at a bearing of 232 degrees and about 925 meters from the lighthouse. As a result, the officers received a summary order of a 300,000 yen fine from Hiroshima Summary Court for violations of the Waste Disposal and Public Cleaning Law, with the sentence confirmed on June 21, 2021. This is deemed to constitute a violation of Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act. Consequently, Hiroshima Prefecture issued a three-day suspension of business operations from August 22 to August 24, 2022, covering all construction business activities at the company's main office located at 52-24 Kamiyasu 2-chome, Asaminami-ku, Hiroshima City. The violation was based on the illegal dumping incident described above.
