神室工業株式会社は、令和３年７月12日、同社が請負った高坂ダムの維持修繕工事（真室川町差首鍋地内）において、健康障害を防止するための必要な措置を講じなかったため複数の作業員が一酸化炭素中毒症状により病院搬送される事故を発生させた。 このことが労働安全衛生法に違反するとして、法人及び同社の社員（現場責任者）が令和４年１月７日、新庄簡易裁判所からそれぞれ罰金20万円の略式命令を受け、これが確定している。 このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号に該当する。
