メタルプレート・ササキ有限会社および同社の代表取締役は、同社が下請業者として請け負った民間工事において、労働者３名および一人親方２名に、農作業小屋の屋根上で作業を行わせるにあたり、墜落により労働者に危険を及ぼすおそれがあったにもかかわらず、労働災害を防止するための必要な措置を講じなかった。この結果、令和３年５月１０日、当該労働者１名が屋根上から墜落して死亡した。このことについて、同社および同社の代表取締役が、福井簡易裁判所から労働安全衛生法違反により、それぞれ罰金刑を受け、令和４年４月１２日にその刑が確定した。
