有限会社銘苅工業は、令和６年１月15日、沖縄県名護市の民間改修工事において、労働者を使用して建物４階から高さが１．５メートルを超える同ビル屋上塔屋周囲の足場設置作業を行わせるに当たり、当該作業に従事する労働者が安全に昇降するための設備等を設けることが作業の性質上著しく困難ではないにもかかわらず、同設備等を設けなかったとして、労働安全衛生法違反により令和７年１月６日、名護簡易裁判所より、罰金30万円（法人）、及び罰金30万円（個人）の略式命令を受け、その刑が確定した。このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号の規定に該当すると認められる。
