株式会社広田建設及び同社の代表取締役は、令和７年４月19日、本県発注の承水路工事の現場において、作業員１人がドラグ・ショベルの走行中にバランスを崩して転倒し、ドラグ・ショベルの下敷きとなり死亡した事故に関し、誘導者を配置しないまま、作業員にドラグ・ショベルを用いて作業をさせ、もって機械等による危険を防止するため必要な措置を講じなかったとして、同年12月４日、労働安全衛生法違反の罪で松山簡易裁判所から罰金の略式命令を受け、その刑が確定している。 このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号に該当する。
