株式会社前園建設は、鹿児島県南薩地域振興局建設部が発注した「広域河川改修工事（万之瀬川R5-1工区）（合併）」の現場において、墜落が生じる危険を防止する措置を講じなかったため、令和６月６月27日に一次下請業者である株式会社仲野建設の作業員が転落し、両下肢麻痺等の怪我を負う労働災害を発生させた。 この件について、同社及び使用人は、「労働安全衛生法」違反により、加世田簡易裁判所からそれぞれ罰金刑の略式命令を受け、令和８年５月13日にその刑が確定した。 このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号に該当する。
