On October 26, 2022, Namba Construction Co., Ltd. (hereafter 'secondary subcontractor') failed to take necessary safety measures, such as installing barriers, handrails, or covers, when allowing workers to use work platforms over 2 meters high during the construction of the Oji Police Station (provisional name) Ogi Koban reconstruction project ordered by Niigata Prefecture. This failure led to violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, resulting in fines imposed by the Takada Summary Court, with the company fined on March 25, 2023, and its safety supervisor fined on March 28, 2023. This constitutes a violation of Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act. The Niigata Prefecture issued an instruction on July 7, 2023, requiring the company to promptly implement measures such as informing employees of the violations, strengthening safety management systems, complying with relevant laws, and creating ongoing safety education plans, and to report these measures in writing.
