The representative director of Sasao-gumi Co., Ltd. and the company, regarding their business operations, on June 1, 2021, at the company's vehicle yard located at 689-3 Omachi, Mure-cho, Takamatsu City, allowed worker A to unload a drag shovel (weighing approximately 1440 kilograms) from a freight vehicle. When unloading items weighing 100 kilograms or more in a single load from a freight vehicle, they are required to designate a person in charge of the work, determine work procedures and methods for each step, and directly supervise the work. They conducted the unloading without establishing these measures, thereby failing to take necessary precautions to prevent hazards arising from work methods in cargo handling operations. Consequently, the company and its representative director were found to be in violation of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, received a summary order of a 200,000 yen fine from Takamatsu Summary Court on September 2, 2021, and the penalty was finalized on September 18, 2021.
