Labour-law violation中田井浄水場等更新整備・運営事業水ing・井原特定建設工事共同企業体として請け負った、愛媛県四国中央市発注の中田井浄水場等更新整備・運営事業（更新整備業務）のうち機械設備の工事現場において、平成２８年９月２２日、同共同企業体の下請負人の労働者が架設通路を使用してポンプ室の天井開口部から底面に降りようとしたところ最上段から底面に墜落し死亡した際、墜落の危険のある箇所に手すり及び中桟等を設ける義務を怠ったとして、同共同企業体の元方安全衛生管理者が、平成２９年７月２８日、労働安全衛生法違反の罪で松山区検察庁により起訴され、同年８月１日、松山簡易裁判所から罰金２０万円の略式命令を受けた。
