On December 18, 2024, at approximately 9:35 a.m., at the construction site of the Adachi District Special Support School's new building in Nihonmatsu City, an employee of Abe Construction Co., Ltd., a primary subcontractor responsible for formwork work, fell from the second floor of the building while attaching separators to the formwork for the wall. The fall caused severe injuries, including skull and thoracic vertebra fractures. As a result, the company and its site supervisor were each fined 200,000 yen for violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. The incident was reported through the mutual reporting system of the Fukushima Labor Bureau.
