On October 2, 2020, at the indoor gymnasium roof repair site of Asahigaoka Junior High School (Kani City, Asahigaoka 2-chome, 3-1), a worker from G.R. Limited Company, subcontracted for the work, fell from the edge of a work platform approximately 11.1 meters high during scaffold dismantling work, resulting in injuries requiring three months of recovery. The company and its construction manager were each fined 200,000 yen for violating the Industrial Safety and Health Act by failing to implement necessary fall prevention measures (such as installing safety nets and using fall arrest devices). The fines were finalized after a summary order issued by Gifu Summary Court on April 20, 2021. This is recognized as applicable under Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Construction Business Act.
