株式会社岩本建設は，令和５年７月５日，指宿港海岸工事の現場で，同社作業員がコンクリート打設作業中にバランスを崩して転倒し，休業４日以上を要する左腰背部打撲傷の傷害を負い，同日から休業したのに，「鹿児島県鹿児島市に所在する自社車庫にて片付け中に足を滑らせて転倒し，負傷した」旨の虚偽の労働者死傷病報告書を令和６年１月４日に提出し，虚偽の報告をした。 この件について，同社及び代表取締役らは，労働安全衛生法違反により，鹿児島簡易裁判所から罰金の略式命令を受け，令和７年８月８日に刑が確定した。 このことは，建設業法第28条第１項第３号に該当する。
