株式会社四国不動産及び当時の同社代表取締役の片岡和男は令和２年８月頃から同年10月頃までの間、複数回にわたり、宅地分譲造成工事現場内において、同所に設置された擁壁等の解体に伴って生じた廃棄物であるコンクリートの破片等約373トンを土中に埋めたものである。 このことにより、令和４年５月17日付けで高知地方裁判所から、廃棄物の処理及び清掃に関する法律（昭和45年法律第137号）の規定に違反するものとして、同社は罰金300万円の、同人は懲役２年執行猶予４年及び罰金200万円の有罪判決を受け、同年６月１日にそれぞれ刑が確定した。 このことは、建設業法第28条第１項第３号の規定に該当する。
