令和５年１月21日、当該建設業者の現場責任者が、移動式クレーンである４．９トンクローラークレーンを、指名した合図者に合図させることなく後進させた結果、被災者の左足を轢き、左脚大腿部中央付近より切断するに至った。 このことで、当該建設業者は労働安全衛生法（昭和47年法律第57号）違反により、罰金20万円の刑に処せられ、令和５年10月20日にその刑が確定した。
