Based on investigations by the Consumer Affairs Agency and the Fair Trade Commission (Kinki, Chugoku, and Shikoku Office of the Fair Trade Commission) into the representations related to exterior wall painting transactions supplied by the company, a violation of the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (Article 5, Paragraph 2, concerning advantageous misrepresentation) was identified. Accordingly, an order to take measures was issued pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 1 of the same Act.

Company Souken violated Article 26, Paragraph 3 of the Construction Business Act by assigning a chief engineer to a construction project ordered by Miyazaki City on August 9, 2022, which requires a dedicated chief engineer, while also having the chief engineer perform duties on other construction projects. This is recognized as falling under Article 28, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Construction Business Act.

The transitional measure that considered technicians of demolition and earthwork contractors as demolition contractors until June 30, 2021, due to the revision of the Construction Business Act (Act No. 55 of 2014) has ended. As a result, as of that date, the entity no longer meets the standards specified in Article 7, Item 2 of the Construction Business Act.
