三井食品工業は、資本金の額が１０００万円以下の法人たる事業者に対し、自社が販売する漬物製品の製造を委託している（これらの事業者を以下「下請事業者」という。）。三井食品工業は、令和４年５月から令和５年８月までの間、次のアからカまでの額を下請代金の額から差し引くことにより、下請代金の額を減じていた。減額した金額は、総額９８８万６４９７円である（下請事業者６名）。
