新光産業株式会社は、山陰西部国道事務所発注の「令和６年度木与防災惣郷地区外残土処分場整備工事」において、令和７年３月１２日に、下請業者の作業員が集水桝へコンクリート蓋を設置する作業を行っていたところ、２箇所の玉掛吊り金具のうち作業者側の金具が外れ、コンクリート蓋が当該作業員の右足の上に落下し負傷した工事関係者事故が発生したにもかかわらず、土木工事共通仕様書に定める発注者への報告を行わなかった。
