新和住設(株)は、同社が請け負ったエアコン入れ替え工事の現場内（東彼杵郡川棚町）において、令和5 年8 月26 日に作業員に地上から約6.5ｍないし7.6ｍの高さにある梯子の路面に立った状態で外部配管の接続作業を行わせるに際し、安全管理の措置を講じなかったことにより、作業員が死亡する事故を起こした。この事故により、同社及び同社代表取締役が労働安全衛生法違反により、それぞれ罰金20 万円の略式命令を受け、令和7年4月4 日にその刑が確定した。 このことが、建設業法第２８条第１項第３号に該当し、監督処分の対象となる。
