大輝工業株式会社および同社の建築部長は、同社が一部を施工する民間工事の現場において、同社所属の労働者が貨物自動車の荷台に積まれていた重さ２,７００キログラムの鉄骨を貨物自動車から卸す作業を行う際、作業指揮者を定める等の荷役業務に対する危険防止措置を講じなかった。この結果、令和２年７月１５日、当該労働者が荷台の鉄骨の上から墜落し、地上にいた運送会社所属の別の労働者に激突して、運送会社所属の労働者が脊椎を損傷する重傷を負った。 このことについて、同社および同社の建築部長が金沢簡易裁判所から労働安全衛生法違反により、それぞれ罰金刑を受け、令和３年８月３１日にその刑が確定した。
