合同建設株式会社および同社の代表取締役は、令和５年８月２８日に南越前町発注工事において、同社の労働者に、車両系建設機械であるドラグ・ショベルを用いて林道の路面清掃工事を行わせるに当たり、誘導員を配置し、その者に当該車両系建設機械を誘導させなければならないのに、その措置を行わず、その結果、当該車両系建設機械が斜面に転落し運転していた労働者が死亡した。 このことについて、同社および同社の代表取締役が、武生簡易裁判所から労働安全衛生法違反により、それぞれ罰金刑を受け、令和６年４月１６日にその刑が確定した。
