ターフエナジー株式会社の元代表取締役は令和６年１１月６日、北海道釧路市の道路舗装工事現場において、運転中の貨物車に接触することにより労働者に危険を及ぼすおそれのある箇所に労働者を立ち入らせたことにより、当該労働者が後退した貨物車に轢かれて労働者1 名が死亡した。このことにより、法人は労働安全衛生法違反で罰金20 万円、法人の元代表取締役は労働安全衛生法違反及び過失運転致死罪で禁固1 年（執行猶予3 年）の判決を受け、令和７年５月30 日に刑が確定した。 このことは、建設業法第28 条第１項第３号に該当するものである。
