令和６年５月９日、鹿島建設(株)が元請として受注した四国地方整備局発注の「令和５－７年度山鳥坂ダム仮排水トンネル工事」におけるトンネル掘削面の吹付け作業時において、下請事業者である協拓建設(株)の作業員が鋼製支保下半の定規を撤去した際に、鋼製支保及び吹付けコンクリートの一部が剥落し、当該作業員２名が負傷する事故が発生した。このことは、本工事における安全管理措置が不適切であったことが認められる。
