（株）コウエイの代表取締役は、同社の業務に関し、同工場の屋内作業場において、アーク溶接作業を行わせる等溶接ヒュームを取り扱う有害な業務に常時従事させていた労働者について、令和５年７月２９日、医師による特定化学物質健康診断を行ったが、その後令和６年１１月８日に至るまでの間、法定の除外事由がないにもかかわらず、６月以内ごとに１回、定期に実施しなければならなかった同健康診断を実施しなかった。 このため、労働安全衛生法に違反したとして、令和７年５月２７日付けで（株）コウエイ及び同社代表取締役に対し、それぞれ３０万円の罰金刑が確定した。
