令和３年12月９日、大阪市内にて行われた解体工事において作業中の労働者が、建物内の開口部から約10メートル下の１階に駐車したトラックの荷台床面に墜落し、下肢機能不全の後遺症を負う労働災害が発生したが、その際開口部に囲い等を設けるなどの墜落防止措置を講じなかった。 このことで、当該建設業者は労働安全衛生法（昭和47年法律第57号）違反により、罰金30万円の刑に処せられ、令和５年４月13日にその刑が確定した。
