有限会社タケシマおよび同社の代表取締役は、同社が下請施工した民間工事において、同社の労働者２名に、廃病院の建屋の屋上に防水シートを張り付ける作業を行わせるにあたり、同屋上の高さが７．２９メートルで、同屋上の端は墜落により労働者に危険を及ぼすおそれがあり、かつ、同屋上の端に囲い、手すり、覆い等を設けることが容易であったにもかかわらず、これを設けなかった。この結果、当該労働者のうち１名が屋上の端から墜落して死亡した。このことについて、同社および同社の代表取締役が、福井簡易裁判所から労働安全衛生法違反により、それぞれ罰金刑を受け、令和４年４月２９日にその刑が確定した。
