北海建設株式会社は、令和6年8月5日、地方独立行政法人北海道立総合研究機構工業試験場研究棟ほかアスベスト除去工事現場において、注文者として請負人の労働者に、地上から高さ2.2メートルのステージ足場を使用させるにあたり、開口部の周囲に墜落防止措置を講じていなかったもの。このことにより、労働安全衛生法違反で札幌簡易裁判所にて罰金刑に処せられ、刑が確定した。このことは、建設業法第28条第1項第3号に該当するものである。
