株式会社大晶の労働者が、同社の業務に関し、令和元年（2019年）5月17日、同社工場においてベルトコンベア上で注油作業中、墜落し死亡する事故が発生した。 この件に関し、労働者が墜落するおそれのある場所に係る危険を防止するための必要な措置を講じなかったこと、また作業に従事する労働者以外の者が当該機械を運転することを防止するための措置を講ずべきところを、その措置を講じずに同作業を行わせ、もって機械等による危険を防止するため必要な措置を講じていなかったとして、同社及び同社代表取締役に対し、熊本簡易裁判所から労働安全衛生法違反によりそれぞれ罰金20万円の略式命令があり、令和3年（2021年）5月29日、その刑が確定した。
