This resulted in an electric shock to one worker, who died four days later on August 26, 2024. Consequently, the corporation and the head of the construction department were prosecuted for violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act and its regulations, and were sentenced by Takasaki Summary Court to fines of 300,000 yen and 500,000 yen respectively. 令和６年８月２２日に高崎市下大類町富士塚５９で矢作建設工業（株）が施工する（仮称）ＤＰＬ高崎新築工事において、労働者にキュービクル式高圧受電設備の整線作業を行わせるにあたり、交流２１０ボルトの電流を絶縁するための覆いを設けずに作業を行わせたため労働者１名が感電し、４日後の令和６年８月２６日に死亡する労働災害を生じさせた。 このことにより、法人及び工事部部長が労働安全衛生法及び労働安全衛生規則違反により書類送検されて、高崎簡易裁判所から法人３０万円・工事部部長５０万円の罰金刑の判決を受け、令和７年４月２５日に同判決が確定した。
